
Account Clerk (Accounts Receivable / Customer Service Support)
A South Orange County property management company is seeking an Account Clerk (Accounts Receivable / Customer Service Support) to support their accounting department. This role performs a variety of tasks involving the maintaining and reviewing of financial records and processing of financial transaction documents. The ideal candidate will have some accounting experience with knowledge of accounts receivable, strong computer and organizational skills and excellent customer service skills. This is a full time, temp to hire position. The starting pay is $22/hour. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm. Account Clerk Responsibilities: Monitors batches of chargeable services. Checks against source documents for corrections of coding, analyzes delinquencies, sends delinquent notices and follows up by telephone or letter when appropriate. Accounts Receivable knowledge Processing input for payments Invoices and purchase orders Checking account ledgers for coding and extensions Follows up with vendors and/or other departments to correct discrepancies Reconciles statements Notifies vendors of debit balances due Issues checks Assists with accrual journal entries Account Clerk Qualifications: Some knowledge of accounts receivable and using accounting programs Excel skills, and excellent customer service skills Knowledge of the methods, practices and terminology used in statistical clerical work. Knowledge of the principles and practices of bookkeeping. Ability to post and to make mathematical computations rapidly and accurately. Ability to relate to the needs and concerns of senior citizens.
