Ensemble | On-site (Long Beach Corporate Office) Location: Long Beach, CA Salary Range: $1 2 0,000–$140,000 per year Full-Time, Exempt Position Overview Ensemble is seeking a strategic and hands-on Corporate Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead and support technology initiatives across a diverse portfolio of hotel properties. This role supports both independently branded and major branded hotels, including Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, and Best Western, spanning luxury, lifestyle, and select-service segments. The Corporate Director of IT is responsible for enterprise hotel technology strategy, execution, and operational support across the portfolio, with a strong focus on hotel openings, acquisitions, transitions, and system rollouts. This role serves as the primary IT leader for the hotel division, ensuring that critical hotel systems supporting front office, food & beverage, finance, sales, HR, and guest experience are secure, reliable, and operational at all times. This position partners closely with hotel leadership, corporate teams, brand representatives, and third-party vendors to deliver brand-compliant, scalable hospitality technology solutions that support operational efficiency, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. This position is based in Ensemble’s Long Beach Corporate Office, requires regular travel, and reports to the EVP, Hotels. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with Ensemble’s operational goals and portfolio growth. Serve as the primary IT leader and subject matter expert for hotel technology systems, including PMS, POS, Sales & Catering, Back Office, HR, and guest-facing applications. Lead all IT planning and execution for hotel openings, acquisitions, conversions, and system transitions, including vendor coordination and on-site support. Ensure critical hotel systems (PMS, POS, HSIA, PABX, call accounting, and related platforms) are supported and available 24 hours per day, directly or through third-party providers. Oversee hotel IT infrastructure including servers, cloud environments, wired and wireless networks, Active Directory, and endpoint systems. Establish and maintain cybersecurity standards, PCI compliance, data privacy controls, and system security procedures consistent with corporate policy and brand requirements. Administer and support hospitality technology platforms such as Oracle Opera Cloud, Micros POS, Delphi S&C, Amadeus, Alice, and other hotel applications. Maintain effective end-user support processes across hotel departments, including front office, food & beverage, finance, sales & catering, and human resources. Act as an escalation point for complex IT issues impacting hotel operations or guest experience. Manage IT projects including system implementations, upgrades, and migrations from planning through go-live. Prepare and manage IT operating and capital budgets at the portfolio and property level; present business cases for all IT expenses. Establish product lifecycle management and long-term capital planning for hotel technology assets. Manage third-party vendors, managed service providers, and IT maintenance contracts, including scope development, negotiations, and renewals. Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and Brand teams to ensure technology solutions align with business and operational needs. Qualifications 5–7 years of progressive IT experience managing or supporting enterprise hotel technology systems (PMS, POS, finance, HRIS, or similar). Experience supporting multi-property hotel portfolios, luxury hospitality environments, or branded hotel operations. Proven experience supporting hotel openings, acquisitions, conversions, or technology transitions. Strong project management experience, particularly in pre-opening or transition environments. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of hospitality operations and cross-departmental workflows. Deep familiarity with hotel technology ecosystems, including PMS, POS, Sales & Catering, and guest-facing systems. Working knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud-based systems, cybersecurity, and Windows environments. Ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions for non-technical hotel leaders. Professional Skills Strategic yet hands-on leadership approach. Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced, growth-oriented hospitality environment. On-site role based in the Long Beach Corporate Office. Minimum 40% travel required to support hotel properties, including openings, acquisitions, conversions, and major IT initiatives. Travel may include extended on-site stays during critical transition periods. Flexibility to travel on short notice based on operational needs.
