Job Summary/Description: Eastern Carolina's #1 news station, WITN News, is seeking a dynamic multimedia journalist to lead our New Bern bureau as our next chief. We are looking for someone who pursues current events, develops hard news lead stories, and reports beyond press releases. The ideal candidate communicates well, has a passion for videography, and understands social media. This position involves making public records requests, examining documents and agendas, and finding stories that truly matter to people. It is for someone who loves finding stories, pitching them, and then reporting, shooting, and editing them. Live shots daily. The successful candidate must be organized, driven, creative, and an active content creator.
