Role Summary

The Vice President, US Market Access Marketing leads the Access Marketing group within the US Market Access (USMA) organization and is accountable for achieving business-critical objectives and OP Plan financial and access targets across US Biopharma. The role develops and executes market access strategies, value narratives, and payer engagement with large payer customers, and collaborates with USMA functional teams, US Commercial Brand Teams, Global Access and Value, and other Pfizer functions to differentiate products and improve patient access. It requires strategic, innovative and analytic thinking with strong financial acumen and the ability to influence senior leaders and key stakeholders across Pfizer. Responsibilities

Leads leaders to motivate and inspire a cross functional, multi-disciplinary team of ~40 colleagues to deliver high levels of performance. Leverages understanding/knowledge of the U.S. Healthcare System to develop, implement and execute innovative strategies that create, maintain and expand market access and drive differentiation and performance of Pfizer’s products. Ensures development of strong access operating plans and strategies aligned with Brand goals. Accountable for helping to develop, align and attain OPPLAN access and GTN targets for priority products. Builds and maintains productive, collaborative relationships with key senior level stakeholders, including Division Presidents and the Executive Leadership Team. Works closely with all USMA functional teams to ensure effective cascade of strategies, messages, tactics and training to maximize customer engagement on the value of Pfizer brands, ensure clear strategic and timely collaboration, guidance and direction is provided. Ensures development and delivery of holistic access plans, resources and tactics with large health care decision makers customers relentlessly drives the development of innovative strategies and tactics to differentiate Pfizer and Pfizer products with healthcare decision customers. Accountable for ensuring that clear and compelling value narratives are developed, based on strong evidence and objective methodologies, for products at all stages of the product lifecycle beginning with pipeline products in development through loss of patent exclusivity. Accountable for assessing the market and landscape evolution including Federal Policy changes that may have implications to Brand strategies, including the leadership of the Annual US Healthcare Access Landscape Assessment as the foundation to Brand Access Plans. Ensures early engagement on key assets, including BD, to ensure that product strategy and key assumptions are aligned to expectations of the Access landscape and future performance. Responsible to build and implement best-in-class access strategies, resources, tactics, practices and programs. Responsible for building/enhancing US Market Access Marketing capabilities and innovation to reflect evolving market and healthcare landscape; transforms USMA Marketing capabilities and integrates with CMO. Champions change management within USMA to maintain industry-leading capabilities. Accountable to ensure processes are in place for strong compliant governance, efficient and quality decision making. Anticipates and monitors healthcare policy changes and develops strategies that improve patient access. Ensures tight alignment and execution between Global and US multi-functional teams; drives business opportunities/challenges from the business to relevant USMA stakeholders and drives meaningful impact back to the business; directs cross functional teams to align objectives and improve execution/evolution of access strategies and tactics. Identifies opportunities to improve team processes and controls; helps ensure business decisions are made compliantly, effectively, and efficiently within existing governance processes, proactively identifying areas for continuous improvement, simplification, and streamlining decision making. Accountable to lead, develop and hold managers accountable to create an inclusive, engaged and compliant culture that drives the Pfizer Values, including performance and growth discussions, succession planning, inclusivity priorities and performance management. Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree; 15 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 13 years with a Master’s, or 10 years with a PhD or JD; previous recent team leadership / leading leaders experience; strong consultative skills and emotional intelligence; experience in the Healthcare sector including experience and demonstrated success within a Marketing Leadership function with both Brand and Access marketing experience; decisive, barrier-removing leadership; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to translate US healthcare and policy insights into strategies that drive sustainable business success; demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and execute strategies for timely and quality patient access. Required:

Preferred:

Advanced degree in healthcare-related, business or economics field; experience managing Leaders, large organizations and/or P&L; travel of at least 25% - 35% of time. Education

Locations: NYHQ or PA - Collegeville Hybrid work arrangement: onsite 2 to 3 days per week Travel: 25% - 35% of time (preferred)
