R-0009295**Job Description Summary**Under direct supervision, uses basic knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training and experience to provide mailing services support to associates throughout the firm. May have contact with internal and external customers to identify research and resolve problems. Provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and efficient support. May lead defined work of moderate scope and complexity or operate an International 4x2 truck.**Job Description****Responsibilities:*** Processes incoming mail and express packages, which include verifying addresses, opening envelopes/packages, determining priority of contents, accurately sort/handle and deliver.* Sorts, packages and processes/ships branch and outgoing first class mail accurately, as well as additional miscellaneous express shipments. Properly stages all outgoing items for carrier pick up at designated times.* Coordinates distribution of mass mailings to branches.* Demonstrates competency in U.S Postal, U.S. shipping, and international customs regulations.* Processes invoices for payment and approval. Reconciles postage chargebacks.* Provides support delivery services for off site locations, the warehouse and Document Control Center.* . Eliminates risk of equipment loss, damage or injury to self by safely loading/unloading, hauling, and delivering pallets of paper and other supplies including PCs to various departments.* Practices proper lifting techniques and safety procedures; notify supervisor of any potential safety hazards.* Recommends and implements process improvement opportunities to Supervisor* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Knowledge of:*** Basic office practices, procedures and methods.* Proficiently sorts and files alphanumerically..* General understanding of all functional areas within the department**Skill in:*** Organizational and time management skills sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.* Reasoning and problem solving skills to research and resolve general problems.* Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).* Demonstrating sensitivity to customer needs (both internal and external) and proactively address customer needs.**Ability to:*** Work in weather elements while organizing/securing dock and drive a company vehicle.* Execute instructions and request clarification when necessary* Provide courteous, timely service when addressing associate/customer questions and concern.* Learn, understand and follow company/department policies, procedures and requirements.* Speak clearly and concisely.* Constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.* Process work with urgency without sacrificing accuracy.* Understand and work to achieve the goals in the department’s Mission statement.* Maintain a neat working environment.* Stand 75%-100% of the day.* Lift items, load, push/pull carts, and pallets following safety guidelines and with caution to avoid damage to walls, doors, elevators, artwork and other company property.* Learn, recognize, and understand various postal/carrier requirements and mailing/shipping methods.* Crosstrain fellow associates.* Promote team cohesiveness, cooperation and effectiveness.* Work independently and as part of the team.**Educational/Previous Experience Requirements****Education/Previous Experience*** High School Degree or Equivalent Degree* Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Distribution Services environment.**Licenses/Certifications*** Valid driver’s license required**Education**High School (HS)**Work Experience**General Experience - 13 months to 3 years**Certifications****Travel**Less than 25%**Workstyle**ResidentAt Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view.
