Recore Electrical Contractors Security and Communications Division is seeking a
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
to lead the planning, design, and implementation of structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure for industrial, and commercial facilities. The RCDD will ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices while supporting current and future technology needs. Key Responsibilities: Design and document
structured cabling systems
including copper, fiber, pathways, spaces, and grounding/bonding Develop
telecommunications infrastructure designs
for voice, data, wireless, audiovisual, DAS, and security systems Prepare
construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates Interpret and apply
TIA, BICSI, NEC, ISO/IEC, and local codes Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, IT teams, and construction stakeholders Conduct site surveys, field investigations, and as-built reviews Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance Provide construction administration and on-site support as needed Ensure designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client requirements Support project schedules, budgets, and quality standards Required Qualifications: Current BICSI RCDD certification (required) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in
telecommunications or low-voltage systems design Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, pathways, and spaces Proficiency with design tools such as
AutoCAD, Revit, or similar Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications: Additional BICSI certifications (OSP, RTPM, DCDC, etc.) Experience in
