The PI team partners with private equity sponsors, lenders and corporates to drive value creation, performance enhancement and transformation across the business and investment lifecycle. This high-output, low-ego team delivers strategy through execution tailored to each client’s needs.
Responsibilities
Work directly with senior personnel at Portage Point and our clients to develop comprehensive solutions to complex operational and financial challenges across the business lifecycle
Collaborate with the Portage Point team—from Associates to Managing Directors—to lead the execution of all deliverable workflows within scope, on time and within budget; employ a hypothesis-based approach to close knowledge gaps, source key data and provide analysis; create value creation plans with measurable impact; develop prioritized tactical action plans; support business functions to create and implement new assets, artifacts and governance; lead client deliverables and presentations with clarity and rigor; drive action plans to completion through interim management, project management, direct execution or execution advisory
Contribute to origination and selling of projects, including experience pitching to or partnering with senior executives, private equity firms, lenders, lawyers and other buyers
Support the development of service-line playbooks, proprietary perspectives and thought leadership
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members
Lead internal trainings and best practice sharing
Lead business development and client relationship efforts
Support talent acquisition and firm-building initiatives
Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program
Located in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Palm Beach or Philadelphia
Invested in a team-based culture, willing to collaborate in office four days per week and work at client sites as needed
12+ years of advisory experience across several areas including Financial Assessment & Office of the CFO, Sales Effectiveness, Acquisition & Merger Integration, Organizational Realignment & Business Process Optimization, Working Capital Optimization, Cost Out or Interim Management
Extensive experience managing other professionals and motivating, developing and inspiring teams
Established personal network and relationships that yield new opportunities across transformation, restructuring and interim management
Proven ability to cross-sell complementary service offerings and expand network
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting
Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
High attention to detail, responsiveness and an ownership mindset
Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environments
Compensation $480,000 - $825,000 a year
In accordance with pay transparency laws in the City of New York and the State of California, Portage Point provides a good-faith cash compensation range for this position. This range represents the cash compensation (base plus bonus) that the firm reasonably expects to pay upon hire, based on good-faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting. The final compensation within this range will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, education, training, experience and location. In addition to cash compensation, Portage Point may offer comprehensive benefits and equity participation, which are not reflected in the pay range above.
