Truss Designer
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Truss Design Specialist and showcase your design expertise! We are seeking a meticulous professional to develop precise Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings for both custom and track residential building projects. As a key member of our design team, you will collaborate with fellow Truss Designers and communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and clients throughout the construction process.

Full-Time + Overtime potential Responsibilities for the Truss Designer: Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in creating thorough and accurate Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings ( TDD ). Utilize design software, CAD, and other tools to design roof trusses, floor trusses, and pre-engineered wood products. Adhere to Building Codes to guarantee safety and compliance with industry standards. Apply advanced mathematical skills for calculating lengths, weights, angles, and leveraging technical knowledge of CAD software. Effectively read and interpret Architectural and Structural plans, identifying potential issues and creating visual solutions. Engage with clients throughout the design process to ensure satisfaction. Provide clear explanations and interpretations of designs, facilitating an informative review process. Contribute to repair design and coordinate field issues by liaising with Construction Managers/Superintendents. Stay informed about industry documents related to products, building codes, and construction techniques for innovative design solutions and continuous improvement. Requirements of the Truss Designer: Minimum 3-5+ years
of experience in
Truss Design
and
Drafting
within the Construction and Building Materials sectors. Extensive knowledge and proficiency in
MiTek
software. Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary. High School Diploma or GED Certificate. In-depth understanding of the
Construction
and
Building Materials
