Apparel Designer
who will play a crucial role in developing an innovative product line that embodies the brand's aesthetic. This position will support our Wholesale Apparel business and requires a passionate individual ready to make an impact. This role is based in our NYC office and works on-site five days per week. Key Responsibilities: Analyze market trends, shop retail spaces, and engage with consumers to identify emerging styles. Source and select a variety of materials including leather, fabric, and ornamentation for sample creation. Present product samples as envisioned to team members and stakeholders. Attend trade shows to stay updated on industry trends and network. Effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with the necessary support and resources. Contribute to special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with groups and individuals. Decision-making abilities guided by precedent, with impacts on the team and the organization. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion at all times. Diverse job responsibilities, often requiring creativity, planning, and strategic implementation. Excellent follow-through and completion skills. Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges with limited supervision. Some supervisory responsibilities for small, skilled teams. Required Qualifications: A degree in the arts is preferred. 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CAD knowledge is a plus. Understanding of our target market and trends. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000, based on factors such as relevant experience, education, and skills.
