Overview Title : Director / VP of Operations (Level Based on Experience)

Role Summary

The Vice President of Operations reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for the company’s production planning and control, supply chain, logistics and manufacturing. The role includes responsibility for procurement, quality control, warehouse and other logistic aspects of the company’s operations. The VP of Operations owns the operational flow from production planning through internal and external manufacturing and shipment. The VP of Operations serves as the primary operational interface with external vendors, identifies risks early, drives corrective actions, and communicates status, risks, and next steps to company leadership. The role also supports the execution and scale-up of new products in coordination with engineering and R&D.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement the manufacturing plans aligned with business objectives.

Oversee processes, capacity planning, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency, cost reduction, and timely delivery.

Manage and maintain the ERP system.

Provide timely data-driven reports and metrics about delivery schedule and potential bottlenecks to guide decision-making.

Oversee planning and scheduling.

Coordinate with procurement and logistics to supply the materials required to meet the schedule.

Identify, select, and negotiate with suppliers, while monitoring supplier performance and quality to ensure alignment with company standards.

Coordinate activities across suppliers, service providers, and cut & sew partners; ensure work progresses smoothly between stages and that handoffs are clearly managed.

Create redundancies within the supply chain and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as supplier issues or economic fluctuations.

Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and identify strategic sourcing alliances.

Oversee procurement/purchasing processes to ensure the required materials needed by operations are available at the most cost-effective price to meet demand and quality standards.

Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Manage the manufacturing function within the company.

Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.

Establish and maintain strict quality control measures.

Manage the company’s warehouse.

Manage the shipping of in-process and finished products.

Background, Experience, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field

Extensive experience in managing the operations of a hardware company

Textile manufacturing experience (highly desirable)

Prior military experience (desirable)

10+ years of relevant leadership and operations experience

Successful startup manufacturing experience

ERP experience (mandatory)

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships

Ability to mediate differences of opinion and facilitate resolution when conflicts arise

Ability to build, motivate, and lead a team to execute and achieve company goals while maintaining schedule, scope, and budget

Responsiveness and prompt issue resolution required for both national and international partners

Ability to work in cooperation with the foreign entity of the company (namely Israel)

Ability to travel: ~20%
