Support the management of the Firm’s distressed investment portfolio, primarily senior secured debt instruments, including one-stop facilities. Assist in developing and executing strategies to maximize recoveries and mitigate potential losses. Prepare and analyze financial models evaluating various restructuring and recovery scenarios. Help draft restructuring, amendment, and waiver requests, as well as written portfolio updates. Develop analytical frameworks and sensitivity analyses to assess downside and recovery outcomes. Participate in negotiations with key stakeholders, including financial sponsors, company management teams, bank group members, and other lenders across the capital structure. Prepare recurring portfolio monitoring and performance reports. Provide ad hoc analytical and execution support to senior team members as required. Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related financial discipline, with a strong record of academic achievement. Approximately three years of experience in a finance role, ideally within credit restructuring, leveraged finance, investment banking, or commercial banking. Experience in leveraged lending preferred (excluding high yield), gained at a finance company, bank, BDC, or mezzanine fund. Formal credit training is a plus. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research capabilities. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven with strong execution skills. Experience working with financial sponsors preferred. Enthusiastic about working primarily in-office and contributing to a Gold Standard hybrid work culture.
