The Product Manager is a visionary, strategist, analyst, customer evangelist, execution leader, and professional relationship builder. Each product at T-Mobile is designed to achieve a specific business purpose or result. The Product Manager is accountable for internal and external products, platforms, services, experiences envisioned to achieve the business purpose or results. Responsibilities include identifying customer problems or unmet needs, assessing technical feasibility and business goals, securing funding, and leading a cross-functional team and key stakeholders to deliver the opportunity. The role combines customer empathy, strategic thinking, commercial and analytical skills, and leadership to create delightful, differentiated products that drive growth and improve customer lives. This is a dynamic role with varying day-to-day activities including market research, defining requirements, setting long-term strategy, roadmapping, guiding technical delivery end-to-end, defining release scopes, and supporting go-to-market activities as needed. Job Responsibilities

Vision, Strategy, and Analysis

Owns product end-to-end for moderately complex products or features, including creating, managing, maintaining, and communicating product vision and roadmap. Identify target customers for existing or future products and conduct end-user research. Partner with stakeholders to understand current customer experiences and identify opportunities. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities or root causes; may work with data scientists to extract insights. Leverage rapid hypothesis-driven testing (e.g., paper prototypes, A/B testing) to inform direction and prioritize investments. Conduct cost-benefit, ROI, and NPV analyses; perform competitive product analyses to support decisions. Secure and maintain product funding with enterprise processes; communicate and sell ideas to leadership. Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide management insights on request. Recommend feature sets and positioning to improve customer experience and drive growth. Evaluate partnerships and licensing opportunities with external parties. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tech trends and assess their impact on the roadmap.

Customer Evangelist

Use customer insights to inform vision, strategy, and roadmap. Engage with customers to build empathy and understand needs. Manage a VOC feed for the team and actively seek opportunities to delight customers. Advocate for the customer internally and externally, fostering a customer-first culture. Test ideas with real customers to validate benefits.

Product Execution / Delivery

Translate strategy into detailed features and user stories for development teams; prototypes may be created. Own product backlog and priorities with business and technology partners; backlog typically serves 1–4 Agile teams. Collaborate with architecture and development teams to factor in debt and long-term investments. Incorporate production defects into backlog prioritization; manage release schedules and dashboards for product health and success metrics. Lead quarterly business reviews and steering meetings; run beta and pilot programs; coordinate with marketing and PR as needed. Support sales, marketing, and partner teams with product knowledge and documentation. Assist with end-to-end software development processes from strategy to deployment and support; communicate technical challenges and trade-offs. Ensure product quality and performance in production; coordinate responses to high-impact defects with stakeholders. Develop adoption tools and training materials; identify and drive plans to resolve execution or organizational issues within scope of influence.

Relationship & People, Professional Development

Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams (sales, marketing, legal, finance, etc.) and with outside partners. Foster positive relationships with customer groups and representatives. Pursue professional development through workshops, publications, networks, and societies. Develop adoption tools and training materials.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Required) 4–7 years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Communication: effective communication with leadership and cross-functional collaboration (Required) Business Analytics: strong analytical skills to analyze product use data (Required) Project Management: experience delivering large, complex initiatives (Required) SCRUM: success delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies (Required) Agile Methodologies: proven ability to deliver software using Agile practices (Required) Technical Writing: strong requirements elicitation and clear writing for diverse audiences (Required) Agile: experience with Agile backlog/project management tools (Required) Collaboration: ability to develop initiatives, features, and user stories for DevOps teams (Required) Ready for a change? The pay range above reflects general base pay for a successful candidate in the role. Actual pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience within the stated range.
