POSITION SUMMARY: As the Director of Field Operations, you are the leader of our frontline property care teams. This role requires a strong foundational knowledge and background in maintenance, property care, basic construction, and home systems. You must possess the technical knowledge necessary to supervise technicians effectively, verify the quality of repairs, and recommend decisive courses of action for complex home issues.
This position is built for a high-energy leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts. You must be able to triage multiple priorities in real time, allocate resources effectively, and execute alternative stop-gap measures when needed. The ideal candidate handles stressful situations with ease and maintains a calm, confident leadership presence. Strong time management and operational efficiency are essential, along with a focus on accurate, billable performance. We are looking for an execution-focused, solution-oriented leader who does not just report problems but brings solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership and Accountability (LMA)
Lead, manage, and hold accountable Maintenance Technicians and the Inspection Team, using your technical background to set high performance standards Communicate effectively with staff and specialized contractors Rapidly assess maintenance emergencies and inspection findings and determine the most efficient and cost-effective course of action before guest arrival Perform quality audits of repairs and inspections to ensure work meets professional building and hospitality standards
Operational Execution and Time Management
Manage and audit Maintenance Technicians’ billable hours to ensure accurate and efficient billing Ensure work is performed at a pace that reflects quality while remaining fair and beneficial to homeowners Manage department schedules with precision to maximize team efficiency and meet deadlines without unnecessary overtime or downtime Provide thoughtful direction to team members and vendors during time-sensitive and high-pressure situations in a calm and confident manner
Preventive Maintenance and Logistics
Design and oversee a recurring preventative maintenance program to protect homeowner investments and minimize guest-facing issues Oversee logistics for company vehicles and inventory to ensure the field team is fully equipped on the first visit Vet and supervise third-party contractors for specialized projects, ensuring work aligns with company standards and homeowner budgets

Financial and Time Management
Ability to accurately track, log, and audit billable hours for a team to ensure efficiency, homeowner transparency, and company profitability
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in Maintenance Management, Property Care, or Residential Construction Proven experience managing a team of 5+ employees in a fast-paced environment Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays Ability to spend much of the day in the field, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for operating company vehicles or driving personal vehicles for work COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual Salary:
$115,000 to $125,000 Bonus
