Camp Wa-Klo is an all girls summer camp located at the foot of Mt. Monadnock in the beautiful southwest region of New Hampshire. “Our little corner of the world” provides a special summer home for campers with a warm, nurturing, and inviting family. We are looking for exceptional college-aged female counselors to join our mature, diverse, and energetic staff this summer.

Our staff and campers come from all over the world creating a diverse and unique community. We have approximately 40-45 staff who live in cabins and teach in a specialized area. This is a paid position with room & board included. We are looking for a Waterfront Director which would oversee all aspects, staff, campers & activities that occur on the waterfront. Room & board are included.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the safety of all campers and counsellors on the waterfront

Implementing the American Camp Association guidelines in all waterfront areas

Dealing with any issues and maintenance arising within any of the waterfront activities

Oversee 30 different waterfront counselors, ensuring they are diligent in their activities

Create an open activity programme for 170 campers and up to 50 staff

Support campers with emotional and logistical issues

Liaise with directors, supervisors and counsellors

Researching and purchasing updated equipment

Qualifications

21 years or older/at least 1 year of college-university is optimal

Enjoy working with children

Experience, certification, and/or activity expertise

Sense of humor, flexible, responsible, great attitude, and keeps children as the number 1 priority
