GT Independence is a national, family founded, disability owned Financial Management Services (FMS) organization serving more than 55,000 people across 17–18 states and Washington, D.C. We help individuals self-direct their long term services and supports by allowing them to hire caregivers they trust, while we handle payroll, taxes, billing, and administrative details so they can live freely and independently in their own homes and communities.

Position Summary
The Brand Ambassador is the face and voice of GT Independence within the communities we serve. This role builds meaningful, authentic relationships with individuals, caregivers, community organizations, advocacy groups, and program partners. You will champion the power of self direction, create trust in the GT brand, and help people understand how we make independence possible. You’ll bring GT’s mission to life through community engagement, education, and storytelling helping families feel confident choosing self direction and choosing GT as their FMS partner. This is a people centered, mission driven role ideal for someone passionate about empowerment, inclusion, and community connection. Key Responsibilities
Represent GT Independence at events, trainings, conferences, and community gatherings. Build relationships with participants, families, caregivers, service coordinators, and community partners. Lead or assist in workshops that help people understand self direction and how GT supports them. Brand Representation
Embody GT’s core values in every interaction: self determination, integrity, respect, professionalism, and community. Clearly explain how GT helps people hire caregivers and manage their services through user friendly support and tools. Education & Advocacy
Educate individuals and partners on the benefits of self direction and the freedoms it offers. Promote GT’s technology platforms including GT Enroll, the caregiver app, and the participant portal to improve awareness and ease of use. Marketing & Storytelling Support
Capture authentic stories, testimonials, and experiences that highlight the lives of people who self-direct their services. Collaborate with the Marketing team on campaigns, social content, and brand visibility initiatives. Share insights from the community to help refine outreach strategies and improve GT’s communication. Partnership & Relationship Development
Build trust with disability organizations, aging agencies, managed care organizations, and advocacy groups. Serve as a knowledgeable, approachable resource for anyone seeking information about GT or self direction. Qualifications
Required 7+ years of hands-on experience representing an organization at events, leading regional outreach efforts, creating engaging content, and cultivating strong community partnerships. A genuine commitment to supporting people in accessing the autonomy, resources, and community connections they need to live the life they choose. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and connect authentically with a wide range of audiences. Confidence in presenting to groups of all sizes and facilitating conversations with diverse communities. Willingness to travel regularly within assigned regions to engage directly with local partners and community members. Comfort using technology and explaining user friendly digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, mobile apps, web-based platforms). Preferred
Experience in community outreach, advocacy, human services, disability services, senior care, or healthcare. Lived experience as a caregiver, self direction participant, or disability community advocate. Core Competencies
