Linum Consult’s client is an international design and build main contractor, specialising in large commercial and industrial buildings. They are currently seeking a Project Director to be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing a major factory construction project in Germany.
Responsibilities
Assisting and supporting the Business Development Director during the project design and cost evaluation phase by addressing the clients’ requirements, conditions, and processes
Taking responsibility for project management, particularly regarding timelines, costs, and quality, including tendering, awarding, and coordinating subcontractors, as well as contract management on both the client and subcontractor sides
Overseeing and managing all technical processes across all project phases
Leading the project team
Maintaining excellent communication with all project stakeholders
Ensuring a smooth and safe project process in line with internal company guidelines and client requirements
Profile
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar
15 years’ experience within the construction industry, with experience of managing large complex industrial building projects of more than €150million
Previous experience within the defence sector with security clearance would be beneficial
Strong knowledge of VOB and HOAI regulations
Excellent awareness of quality, costs, and deadlines
Fluent in spoken and written German, with good English language skills
The right to live and work in the EU, with a willingness to travel frequently (at least 3 days a week on site)
