NCDIT provides technology services to state agencies and is charged with closing the digital divide by expanding availability of broadband services and promoting the adoption of affordable, high-speed internet.**Description of Work**Salary Range: $55,221 - $96,639

We currently have an opening for a Classification & Compensation Analyst

This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work.

The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an analyst in the areas of Classification, Compensation, and Labor Market Analysis. The position also serves as the NCDIT IHRPS Security Liaison and Apprenticeship Coordinator. Position will work with DIT managers and supervisors in developing and applying compensation strategies for complex classification studies and actions ensuring proper implementation over a wide variety of information technology and non-IT professional occupations. The position will perform classification and compensation projects of the appropriate level and provide the appropriate level of support to larger more complex studies and projects alongside Senior Analysts. Work directly impacts the ability of the agency to recruit and retain professional talent in a region that is highly competitive on the national level.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct moderately complex classification and compensation studies for IT and non-IT roles

• Perform labor market analysis and maintain competitive salary structures

• Provide consultation on organizational design, position structuring, and strategic workforce planning

• Administer Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance and salary equity reviews

• Develop and maintain HR data analytics dashboards and performance metrics

• Support HRIS data integrity and position history documentation

• Deliver training and guidance to managers and HR staff on classification and compensation policies

• Serve as a HRIS Security Liaison

About the Division:

The NCDIT Human Resources Division provides comprehensive human resources program support to the agency workforce statewide. The Division ensures compliance with Federal and State law, and guides agency leadership, management, supervisors, and employees in the areas of:
