Outside Sales Engineer – North New Jersey Territory

Dartronics, Inc. is seeking a
Sales Engineer
to own and grow our
North New Jersey territory . This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset who is comfortable prospecting, opening new accounts, and working directly with manufacturers to improve their production operations.
You’ll sell packaging equipment, industrial printing systems, and automation solutions that solve real problems on the production floor. This is a
hands-on, field-based role
with the autonomy to build your territory and the support of an experienced integration team behind you.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and grow the
North New Jersey sales territory.
Prospect for new business through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and in-person visits.
Develop relationships with manufacturers, operations teams, and decision-makers.
Evaluate customer production lines and recommend packaging and automation solutions.
Present and demonstrate equipment and systems on-site.
Coordinate with internal engineering and service teams to deliver complete solutions.
Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry events.
Maintain CRM activity, pipeline updates, and forecasts.
Support customers post-sale with training and long-term service solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Must live in North New Jersey
and be able to travel locally.
B2B sales experience (industrial, manufacturing, machinery, or automation preferred).
Comfortable with
cold calling and outbound prospecting.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn technical products.
Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
Self-motivated and accountable.
Proficiency with Windows-based software and CRM tools.
Technical or engineering background preferred, not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary + uncapped commission.
Realistic earning potential:
$75,000–$250,000+.
Mileage and toll reimbursement.
