Description The Technical Writer I is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving technical documentation to support business processes, systems, and procedures. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, translate technical content into user-friendly documentation, and ensure consistency and accuracy across all materials.
Requirements
Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation including process manuals, system specifications, guidelines, and procedure manuals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret documentation requirements
Standardize content across platforms and media to ensure consistency and clarity
Review and edit existing documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established standards
Work closely with project teams to understand product and process details and develop appropriate documentation
Translate complex technical terminology into clear, user-friendly language
Conduct periodic reviews and updates to ensure documentation reflects current processes and changes
Education • Associate degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field
OR
currently enrolled in one of these programs at an accredited college or university
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role within a technical environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation
Proficiency with MS Office and documentation tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams
