Job Overview Cottage Hospital is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee both our Emergency and Inpatient Services departments. The Director will manage daily operations across Med Surg, ICU, Respiratory Therapy, Social Services, and the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and optimal departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee clinical and administrative management of Emergency and Inpatient Services.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Collaborate with physicians and other departments to promote seamless patient care.
Lead performance improvement initiatives and drive quality outcomes.
Manage staffing, scheduling, and staff development.
Participate in strategic planning and budget management.
Maintain Emergency Preparedness protocols.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors or better in Nursing or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a nurse manager/supervisor over professional nursing staff; duties should include writing and signing work performance evaluations, hiring and firing, discipline and counseling
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a registered nurse
Experience working for a Non-Profit Facility and/or a Critical Access Hospital
Familiar with departmental P&L’s
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
Licenses & Certifications
RN License
Basic Life Support
ACLS
PALS
