BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Asset Specialist is responsible for reviewing, processing and maintaining digital assets for both digital and print marketing. This role inducts and maintains all digital assets within MSC's digital asset management system, performs retouching, and creates technical illustrations and logos.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works closely with Product Management, Data Team and suppliers to ensure digital asset submissions comply with MSC standards and specifications.

Adheres to standards for naming, tagging, and formatting new and existing assets.

Performs color correction and retouching of incoming images for print and web use.

Works within digital asset management system to track incoming files.

Provides graphic support for print catalogs, websites, and e-commerce by following standard processes to research, induct, or correct image files.

Works with outside partners such as marketing agencies, photographers, designers, studios, and artists.

Responsible for adherence to all production schedules and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Delivers digital assets to internal and external clients.

Identifies opportunities to leverage technology to streamline processes and increase productivity.

Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Graphic Arts or the equivalent industry knowledge/experience is required.

Minimum of three years of digital asset work experience in a marketing or advertising role required.

Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator

Experience working within DAM systems. Canto Cumulus experience a plus.

SKILLS:

Advanced use of Photoshop, including penning, retouching and color separating

Working knowledge of InDesign a plus

Self-starting, well-organized team player with the ability to function as part of a team or independently

Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, on multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.

Ability and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

Compensation starting at $17.37 - $27.29 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
