Needham Golf Club was incorporated in 1923 as a member-owned, private Wayne Stiles designed golf course uniquely situated within the Needham, MA community, offering an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The clubhouse was newly constructed in 2011 and includes a state-of-the-art kitchen facility and gorgeous views of the golf course. The clubhouse has a function room that seats up to 150 people, outdoor ala cart seating, a grill room, the main bar, and a smaller dining area off the grill room. Education and/or Experience: Holds Class A Certification through the PGA of America or a PGA Associate working towards Class A Membership. College degree preferred with a bachelor’s degree in a business-related major or Sports 1 year work experience as an Assistant Golf Professional or equivalent work experience. Essential Responsibilities

Job Tasks (Duties): Assists Golf Professional instructing and merchandising, on-course, golf car and personnel management Maintains Golf Pro Shop inventory control Assists members by providing and interpreting golf policies, and rules Conducts bi-annual golf clinics for men, women and junior members. Operates Pro Shop in absence of Head Golf Professional Assist with pro Shop inventory and periodically conducts physical counts of merchandise, including scorecards, tees, matches, pencils, ball marks, golf car tags and tee sheets Maintains and inventories all stock items necessary for in-house club repair Document and keep accurate records of all in-house and outside club repair Update all charges and credits for club repair Assumes Head Golf Professional's duties in his absence Manages the daily opening and closing of golf Assists in the coordination of tournaments and special Be actively present on site for all men’s, women’s and junior club events. Ensures all tournament winners are properly entered into the credit book with correct dates and description of event Makes copies of tournament results and enters into the correct files Coordinates junior golf activities and tournaments for boys and girls. Assists in all daily scheduling of lessons for all teaching Provides golf Keeps updated on times needed for golf clinics and group Performs starter or marshal duties as needed Manages USGA handicap system for members Assist with golf course markings for all club tournaments.
