Addison Group is working with one of our logistics clients to hire a Customs Compliance Specialist. This organization is growing its customs brokerage operations and is expanding the audit and compliance side of the team to support increased entry volume. Job Description:

The Customs Compliance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across customs entries. This position is audit-focused but requires hands-on entry writing experience, as the role involves reviewing and correcting entries completed by other team members. The ideal candidate has recent, direct experience completing entries and a strong understanding of tariff classification and customs documentation. Key Responsibilities:

Audit and review customs entry files to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal regulations Perform secondary reviews of entry writers’ work, including HTS classification and CBP Form 7501 accuracy Complete and correct entries as needed to support compliance efforts Process post-entry work such as summary corrections, reconciliations, and continuous bond responses Review commercial documentation to verify country of origin, importer of record, valuation, and terms of sale Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies, request missing documentation, and clarify entry details Manage daily statement processing and duty payments via ACH Support customer onboarding by assisting with POAs and tariff classification guidance Maintain organized and accurate records within CargoWise Qualifications:

2+ years of hands-on customs entry writing experience Recent experience completing entries within the past 12 months (review-only profiles will not be considered) Background within customs brokerage or transportation industry Strong knowledge of tariff classification, customs regulations, and compliance requirements Proficiency with CargoWise and Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
