Role Summary
Senior Associate Scientist in the Early-Stage Drug Product Development (EDPD) team at Sanofi, located in Framingham, MA. You will help deliver biologic drug candidates from lead-molecule selection through Phase 1 clinical dosage form and contribute to patient-centric product development, including high-concentration liquid formulations. You will work within BioDPD&M, driving breakthroughs at the intersection of protein and formulation science, supported by AI-powered R&D.
Responsibilities
Serve as an analytical contributor, supporting the Research-to-Development transition of biologic drugs and laying the foundation for successful commercial formulations.
Contribute to developability assessments, preformulation studies, and formulation/DP process development activities.
Support innovation projects focused on identifying the molecular determinants of high concentration solution behavior (viscosity, opalescence, phase separation, etc.) and other areas related to patient-centric product development.
Qualifications
Strong scientific background in biochemistry, biophysics, and the pharmaceutical sciences; experience with biochemical & biophysical assays including HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, CD, AUC, DSC, DLS/SLS, and mass spectrometry.
Data fluency and a keen eye for data quality; collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Languages: English.
Education
Minimum BS or MS in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
