GENERAL FUNCTION This role supports trade marketing initiatives with a primary focus on day-to-day budget management and hands-on project execution. The Associate Manager will own the finances and operations of two core trade marketing programs, managing complex CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
This is a high-execution role for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and personally driving work forward. The role also supports a digital transformation initiative, helping transition from Excel-based tracking to a centralized program management platform in partnership with IT. This role ensures business continuity during a transition in full-time staffing.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and track CAPEX and OPEX budgets of $4M+
Own detailed budget tracking and program forecasting
Open purchase orders, track invoices, follow-up on payments, and partner with Finance to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
Own day-to-day operational management of key trade marketing programs, including timelines, vendor coordination, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization
Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors to ensure deliverables are met on time, on budget, and to required specifications
Actively identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce friction, and increase efficiency across assigned programs
Execute project management tasks, including tracking deliverables, following up on open items, and driving projects to completion
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business, operations or related field
3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing operations, trade marketing, project coordination, or finance
Demonstrated experience managing and reconciling complex CAPEX and OPEX budgets
Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with detailed financial and program forecasting spreadsheets
Strong follow-through, ownership mindset, and desire to continuously improve how work gets done
Proven ability to personally execute project management work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
Comfortable rolling up sleeves to handle operational, financial, and administrative details
