Role Summary
Location: Evansville, IN. The Area Business Manager (ABM) for Migraine leads a high-performing sales team in the region, supervising 9–12 Neuroscience Health & Science Professionals and guiding strategic plans and budgets. The ABM partners with marketing and cross-functional teams to drive product performance and engages customers in clinical conversations while ensuring compliance. This role reports to the Regional Business Director and requires travel as needed to develop relationships and opportunities. Responsibilities
Supervise Area Team operations, including hiring, coaching, development, and performance management for 9–12 NHSP. Ensure full compliance of selling activities with legal and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement strategic plans for the Area Team, the business plan, and budgets at district level in alignment with expectations. Plan, organize, and monitor performance to achieve the Area Team's business potential; optimize use of promotional materials and field execution. Conduct proactive data analysis to identify market trends and opportunities; collaborate with Marketing to develop key strategies during the operating plan. Build relationships with customers (including KOLs) and key stakeholders; engage cross-functional partners and utilize content appropriately for engagement. Model high knowledge in clinical conversations and champion cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer needs while maintaining NHSP compliance. Coach NHSPs on connecting with cross-functional colleagues to address customer needs using digital tools; develop skills and performance across the team. Establish team goals, hold members accountable, foster a strong team culture, and promote a continuous improvement mindset in customer experience. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree; 3–5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with demonstrated leadership across peer and customer groups. Required: Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on Pfizer business imperatives. Required: Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to analyze and draw conclusions using sales data and call reporting software/applications. Required: Travel, including overnight travel, as needed to develop internal and external relationships. Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired. Required: Demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact. Preferred: MBA or relevant graduate degree. Preferred: 3–5 years of people management experience. Preferred: Experience working with key thought leaders or high-influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations. Preferred: Cross-functional collaboration mindset to facilitate “One Pfizer” commitment to customer. Preferred: Feedback culture mindset, to proactively identify areas of improvement with new Rep 2.0 responsibilities. Preferred: Additional digital, Legal and Compliance training to ensure personal adherence, as well as leadership by example for team adherence (contracting permissions/guidelines).
