High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills. Phlebotomy experience in clinical and forensic specimen collection. Patient Service Center experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures. Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct tube labeling. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality. Should Have
Flexibility to support staffing needs, including varied schedules. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Strong customer focus and communication skills. Ability to adapt to change and exercise good judgment based on established procedures. Skills
