This position is primarily remote and will require at least one day onsite in Corvallis, OR. JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Provides full cycle grants management support to Samaritan Health Services and its affiliated entities. Works with leadership and project teams on grant-seeking, administration, compliance, and program management. Coordinates and performs technical functions related to grants management and network development, including preparation of required budgets, policies/procedures, data management and reporting. Analyzes and processes financial activities of grant-supported programs for compliance. Provides training to new Project Directors. Supports the essential functions of local, state, federal and privately funded grants programs. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The SHS Grants & Sponsored Prgms team provides administration, management, and compliance oversight of external grant funds awarded to Samaritan for programs, projects, equipment, and construction. Services include identifying and securing funding that aligns with the SHS Mission “Building Healthier Communities Together;” administering grants throughout the life cycle from application through award and final closeout; and providing support to the Coast to the Cascades Community Wellness Network (CCCWN) serving our multi-county service area. The teamworks closely with local and regional organizations and coalitions to identify and address community health needs; and represents Samaritan Health Services on local, state, and national coalitions that support the mission, vision, and goals of Samaritan Health Services. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) of the following required:
Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of experience in a business, finance or public health related field. Master’s degree in a business or public health related field plus one (1) year of experience in a related field.
Two (2) years of experience working with grants required. Experience in the following required:
MS Office and database applications. Grant funding principles, practices, policies, procedures, and regulations. Writing grants and professional written correspondence.

Ability to work effectively independently or as part of an integrated team to achieve a goal. Skilled in navigating problems and utilizing creative and alternative thinking to effectively manage project challenges. Project Management – Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple fast-moving projects/grants with changing priorities, drivers, and dependencies. Strong writing skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access Database. Proficient with Electronic File Management. Familiar with billing and accounting processes.
