Overview
About Us:
At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains. Our technology is dedicated to creating transformative digital experiences. Our work spans infrastructure, platform, and product development, combining cutting-edge technologies with thoughtful design to build scalable, user-focused solutions. ProFood Properties, a division of City Storage Systems, is a nationwide industrial real estate investment platform backed by institutional equity, focused on large-scale food manufacturing and cold logistics properties. By combining committed capital with in-house design, engineering, and construction capabilities, we partner with leading food producers to deliver spaces that are efficient, scalable, and built to meet their exact operational needs. What You’ll Do
Build and manage a targeted outbound strategy to identify potential tenants, referral sources, and strategic partners aligned with our development focus. Develop a deep understanding of food manufacturing operations, space requirements, workflows, and growth constraints to inform outreach and conversations. Proactively build relationships with non-tenant stakeholders (brokers, consultants, suppliers, operators, industry advisors) who can provide insight and introductions. Research, identify, and convert large global accounts from a prospect to an opportunity to provide a consistent, healthy pipeline of high business impact opportunities. Strategic planning: Track and prioritize relationships over time, distinguishing between surface-level contacts and high-value long-term partners. Collaborate with internal teams to translate tenant requirements into real estate, development, acquisition, and construction considerations. Build a pipeline of sales opportunities in collaboration with division leadership What we’re looking for
4+ years of experience, ideally in the commercial/industrial/retail real estate sector Experience in leasing and asset management for an investment platform or national developer is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated, driven, self-starter, determined to achieve measurable results Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Strong entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and coachable. Nothing brings people together like food. City Storage Systems is a national platform entirely focused on the food industry, developing and operating innovative real estate and technology solutions that support food production, preparation, and distribution. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact across our portfolio, working with high-caliber tenants, partners, and colleagues who are shaping the future of the food ecosystem. What else you should know
This role is based in our Los Angeles office. We believe that people do their best work when they are together. As a company, we’re in the marketplace of ideas and innovation. When you’re constantly innovating, changing how an industry works, inventing new products and processes - and we are doing all these things - we believe we’re better as a team in-person. That’s why all of our teams (except for our field-based roles) are now working from one of our office locations 5 days a week. Voluntary Self-Identification
For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self-identification survey. Completion of the form is entirely voluntary. Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file. As set forth in City Storage Systems’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law. If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to VEVR-AA, we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows: "disabled veteran" and related definitions as provided in the original content "recently separated veteran" "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" "Armed forces service medal veteran" Disability Status Select... Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Form CC-305 OMB Control Number 1250-0005 Expires 04/30/2026 Why are you being asked to complete this form? We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s OFCCP website at www.dol.gov/ofccp. How do you know if you have a disability? A disability is a condition that substantially limits one or more of your “major life activities.” If you have or have ever had such a condition, you are a person with a disability. Disabilities include, for example, the list provided in the original content. Disability status information is provided for compliance purposes only.
