Overview Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Interim Secret CLEARANCE or higher

Cherokee Federal is seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team. The Salesforce QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications and solutions through comprehensive testing and quality control measures. This role requires strong technical skills, Salesforce knowledge, and a thorough understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.

Compensation & Benefits Estimated Starting Salary Range for

Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Tester : $90,000-120,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Responsibilities

Identify and execute processes and improve tool utilization to automate testing

Translate user stories and defect resolution into test scripts

Perform automated and manual testing

Track and manage defects

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Salesforce functionality, configurations, and customizations

Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and administrators to gather requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs

Conduct functional, integration, system, and regression testing for Salesforce applications, ensuring adherence to established quality standards

Identify, document, and track defects and issues using a defect tracking system, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure timely resolution

Create and maintain test data and test environments, ensuring accurate and representative test scenarios

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency

Participate in the release management process, including reviewing deployment plans and providing input on the release readiness of Salesforce applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and requirements, ensuring testing aligns with end-to-end business workflows

Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies, identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing enhancements

Stay updated on Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and assess their impact on QA processes and testing strategies

Provide feedback and recommendations on user experience, system performance, and overall quality improvements. Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities

Preferred public sector experience or multiple Salesforce project implementation

Experience with Salesforce platform and applications, with a solid understanding of Salesforce functionalities, configurations, and data models

Experience in test planning, test case development, and execution for Salesforce projects

Proficient in using QA tools and methodologies, including test management tools, defect tracking systems, and test automation frameworks

Familiarity with test automation tools, such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Provar or Salesforce-specific tools like Salesforce DX or Apex Test Classes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide detailed defect reports

Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies, with experience in working in Agile development teams

Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder) are preferred

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Must possess an interim security clearance or higher (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI). Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. US Citizenship is required

Salesforce certified (Administrator preferred)

Shall have a minimum of twelve (12) years of general work experience

Candidate must also demonstrate experience supporting Salesforce platform(s) within Department of Defense (DoD) environments

Experience testing enterprise software solutions

Shall have three (3) years of experience in troubleshooting software

Shall have experience working in Salesforce and Agile development processes
