Our client a legal research company is hiring for a Legal Writer / Editor.
As the Legal Writer you will be responsible for the high-quality and agile creation of analytical content for our legal customers. You will leverage your domain expertise in US law, mastery of legal research and writing, including a fluent understanding of AI-assistance in legal research and writing, to produce comprehensive and timely legal analysis and ability to translate complex legal topics into practical guidance.
What you’ll do:
Research, analyze, and write high-quality legal and tax commentary for practicing attorneys
Interpret legislation, case law, regulations, and legal news with precision and clarity
Leverage generative and agentic AI to streamline content creation and editorial workflows
Craft and refine prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and integrate insights into publish-ready content
Collaborate closely with editors, product managers, and fellow legal experts to develop innovative legal products
Track developments in law and legal tech to keep content current and forward-looking
What we’re looking for:
Juris Doctor (JD) required
2+ years of legal practice experience or equivalent
Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
Experience using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for drafting or summarization
Proficiency with legal research tools (Lexis+ / Lexis+ AI strongly preferred)
Comfort with MS Office; data tools like Tableau or Power BI are a plus
A collaborative mindset and curiosity about how technology is shaping legal work
