Your Role

At Gensler in Miami, a Designer (Workplace) combines creativity, technical knowledge, and business acumen to create functionally beautiful spaces for our clients. Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior designers on all phases of interior design projects for Workplace Interiors, including programming client needs, space planning, schematic design, design development, and Construction Documents. Manage coordination with engineering consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, and AV). Maintain open communication among the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials. Collaborate with Technical Director to provide solutions for technical and design challenges. Work with the Specifications Writer to maintain the project manual and specifications. Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction. Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to teammates. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture from an accredited program. 6–10 years of relevant commercial design experience (interior architecture for workplaces), ideally including all phases through construction administration. Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and other modeling software. Knowledge of Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or SPEXX is a plus. Working knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements, and permit processes. Hand rendering skills to communicate design concepts are a plus. Strong conceptual 3D thinking and graphic presentation skills to communicate ideas effectively. Flexibility to manage concurrent projects at different development stages.
