The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) for Power & Energy is responsible for driving business growth through proactive lead generation, technical quoting, and customer engagement. This role supports the external Electric Power Generation (EPG) sales team by preparing accurate project estimates for generator sets ( Key Responsibilities

Drive business growth through proactive lead generation, technical quoting, and customer engagement for Power & Energy. Support the EPG outside sales team by preparing accurate quotes and identifying new project opportunities using IIR and Builder’s Exchange. Prepare accurate project estimates for generator sets ( Collect and submit RFQs from multiple sources in a timely manner; research and identify new project opportunities using IIR, Builder’s Exchange, CAT GovProspect.com, and other construction project databases. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads for standby power generation, including diesel and natural gas gensets. Serve as the primary quoting resource for standby generators ( Assist EPG outside sales representatives by preparing timely and accurate quotes; track quote status and follow up to ensure closure and gather feedback. Engage with current and prospective customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings to gather project requirements and promote solutions; build lasting relationships and provide value-driven solutions. Coordinate customer-facing activities to support sales closure and relationship management. Collaborate with the Power Systems team to align strategic initiatives and sales campaigns; monitor market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy. Maintain and expand the company’s prospect database in Ohio CAT’s CRM, ensuring accurate contact information and tracking of projects and customer interactions. Qualifications

Experience & Education 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, quoting, or estimating in power generation or a related electrical industry (required) Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (preferred) Technical Skills Proficiency in electrical systems and generators; electrical engineering concepts preferred Familiarity with IIR, Builder’s Exchange, Dodge, or similar construction project tracking platforms Industry experience with power systems, heavy machinery, dealer operations, or Caterpillar products is preferred Other Requirements Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating responsiveness Collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently Key Competencies

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
