Job Summary Responsible for prospecting and presenting Auris Payroll solutions to small and mid-sized merchants and businesses, both in person and over the phone, with the goal of closing deals within a fast sales cycle. As a Field Sales Representative, you will report to a Payroll Division Manager and receive coaching from a Territory Manager. Activities include explaining our value proposition to clients, upselling current clients on other Heartland products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the Payroll Territory Manager (PTM) and/or Payroll Division Manager (PDM).
Your role as a Field Sales Rep is to close sales of our business solutions with merchants throughout the area. You will work with your local PDM or PTM to set appointments with business owners, in person or face-to-face via your network and referrals. You will then run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Auris solutions to close sales in small to mid-sized businesses.
During the training period, your PDM or PTM will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on our short-cycle sales process using our tablet-based CRM platform, Atlas, used for lead generation, sales presentations, on-the-spot client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing. After training you will have the opportunity to set your own work schedule to maximize the upside of 100% commission and residuals on the business you bring in.
Responsibilities
Prospect new clients
Maintain existing/prospective client records, in accordance with company policies, to include call notes, scheduled client interactions, contact information, and other relevant client information in the CRM system (Atlas)
Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure a win
Continuously build and develop knowledge of current product/service portfolio and industry developments to remain up-to-date
Attend weekly team meetings and one-on-one sessions with a leader
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
Minimum Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Valid Driver’s License and valid automobile insurance
Successful completion of pre-employment background check
Must live in area relative to job posting location
At least two years of relevant experience
Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
Works well independently and as part of a team
Incentive-driven sales “hunter”
Professional demeanor and integrity
High sense of urgency and sales talent
Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face to face
Accountable for measurable, high-quality, timely results
Ability to be in the field, a minimum of 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma / GED
Prior experience in a B2B sales role
Prior experience with a CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot)
