Position Overview The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven video editor for the role of Editor, Partnerships & Marketing Media to support the league’s most impactful brand partnerships and marketing initiatives across both the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL).

This role serves as the primary editor for partnership-driven content and branded entertainment, with a particular emphasis on priority partnership asset requests. The editor will also act as a secondary editor across league tentpole marketing campaigns and paid social initiatives tied to ticketing and tune-in.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of lacrosse audiences and sports fans more broadly, along with the ability to deliver polished, platform-optimized content that drives fan engagement, partner value, and league growth. There is a high importance placed on long-form video creation for YouTube. The ideal candidate brings an advanced understanding of long-form storytelling and knows how to map narrative structure to YouTube audience consumption habits, platform strategy, and retention dynamics. Beyond execution, this editor is expected to be an exceptional storyteller and creative thought partner, collaborating closely with content and production leadership to shape how stories are told across partnerships and league marketing media.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary editor for partnerships content and branded entertainment across the PLL and WLL, with an emphasis on Tier-A partner asset delivery

Act as an additional editor for all tentpole league marketing campaigns, including season launches, playoffs, championships, and major announcements

Support paid social video production that drives ticket sales, tune-in, and audience growth across both leagues

Partner with Content, Production, Partnerships, and Marketing leadership as a creative thought partner, contributing to storytelling strategy and execution

Edit short-form and long-form content optimized for YouTube, social, web, and linear platforms

Manage post-production workflows, including versioning, feedback rounds, approvals, and multi-platform delivery

Contribute motion graphics and visual polish, leveraging intermediate skills in After Effects and Photoshop (or comparable tools)

Stay current on sports, entertainment, and digital video trends to inform creative decisions

Provide feedback, collaboration, and edit support across projects to help manage team bandwidth and maintain quality

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with internal and/or external production and marketing teams

Minimum 3 years of experience editing long-form, story-driven content and entertainment required

Intermediate understanding of long-form storytelling, with demonstrated experience producing content for YouTube

Strong knowledge of YouTube audience behavior, consumption patterns, and platform best practices

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with intermediate experience in After Effects and Photoshop (or comparable workflows)

Strong understanding of post-production workflows across short-form and long-form content

Ability to balance creative storytelling with partnership, marketing, and business objectives

Understanding of lacrosse audiences and sports fans broadly is required for success in this role

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

Passion for sports and storytelling; prior lacrosse experience is a plus, but not required

Work location preference is Los Angeles, CA but open to candidates pursuing remote work arrangements.

Compensation

$65,000 - $75,000

Based on the candidate’s experience, seniority, and location

The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave
