Overview
We are seeking a full-time, Senior Residential Interior Designer with 10+ years of experience designing and detailing the interiors of substantial residential properties. Responsibilities
Central to the role will be the execution of fine interior designs and details while proactively collaborating with design and construction team members as well as sophisticated residential clients. Significant experience in designing and detailing architectural interiors and generating interior finish specifications for new home construction, restorations, and renovations (including millwork and cabinetry) is critical to successfully filling this role. A high proficiency in interior design principles and practices. The position is based out of C&M’s Essex office and is fully integrated with the Interiors Group, working directly with the architectural, interior design, and woodworking teams. The ability to travel to job sites throughout New England is required. Qualifications
Required Undergraduate or graduate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. 10+ years of experience in space planning, interior architecture, interior design and construction drawings. Demonstrable experience working with and managing high-end residential clients. Proficiency in CAD drafting software is required. Strong and demonstrable experience in cabinetry and millwork design and detailing. Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and procurement ecosystem and process. Strong vendor (both local and nationwide) relationships. Strong creative and problem-solving skills are critical. Relentless attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and builders. Preferred Proficiency / Working knowledge of ArchiCAD. Experience in historic preservation. Experience with Gather and/or Studio Designer. Who We Are
