Lifecycle Marketing Manager Summary:
The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will own BrandsMart’s email and SMS lifecycle strategy, including campaign execution, automated customer journeys, and triggered communications across the full customer lifecycle. This role is responsible for building, executing, optimizing, and scaling high-impact email and SMS programs that drive revenue, retention, and customer engagement.
This role will partner closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure creative, data, and technical execution align with lifecycle objectives and business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end email and SMS lifecycle roadmap, including campaign calendars, triggered programs, and automated journeys
Analyze and report on lifecycle performance, including revenue contribution, engagement, conversion, and incremental lift
Develop and execute a structured testing roadmap (A/B and multivariate) across campaigns and automated journeys
Partner with multiple agencies to ensure creative, data, and link files are delivered and on track for deployment
Hands-on experience building and managing automated journeys within an ESP/CDP (e.g., Zeta, Salesforce, Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo)
Ability to translate data feeds, events, and customer attributes into scalable lifecycle automation
QA all emails/sms for creative, link and data accuracy
Develop and evolve advanced segmentation strategies based on customer behavior, lifecycle stage, and purchase history
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA.
Conduct periodic audits to verify the integrity of email data and identify improvement areas.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data hygiene and email list management.
Required Education, Experience, and Certifications
BS/BA degree in related field of study
Between 3-5 years of experience
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email QA and light troubleshooting (not design-focused)
Experience in an agency and/or corporate marketing environment preferred
Email and sms experience preferred
Experience with ZETA platform preferred
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong written, verbal, and communication skills a must
Worked closely with an email program tracking email schedules and success metrics
Detail-oriented, persistent follow-up and an ability to juggle shifting priorities
Ability to coordinate cross-functional team efforts
Resourceful and solution oriented
Operates effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing concepts, including triggers, states, and customer journey orchestration
Comfortable working with data, segmentation logic, and automation rules
