Summary
Apple’s Instructional Products team creates the Tips app, user guides, and other instructional content that help users learn about, engage with, and delight in their Apple products. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative Graphic Designer with illustration skills to join our team.
Description In this role, you will work closely with instructional designers to create visually engaging graphics and illustrations for digital platforms (device and web) and print materials.
Responsibilities
Create screenshots and layered Photoshop files of existing and future software/app UI to enhance the visual understanding of instructional materials
Create technical product illustrations, conceptual artwork, diagrams, and custom icons to support user guide content
Create InDesign documents and templates, resize documents based on new trim sizes, reflow content, and set up paragraph and character style sheets
Collaborate with writers and other designers to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects
Work quickly and accurately to produce consistent design solutions that meet project objectives across the department
Provide detailed design specifications and guidelines for Instructional Products and Localization
Review and update process documents and procedures
Review and perform quality assurance on all deliverables
Meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience in print and web design, including illustration work
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools (Keynote, Sketch, Figma, etc.)
Proficiency in typography, color theory, and graphic composition
Fast, detail-oriented, and accurate
Excellent verbal and written communication—both one-on-one and in small groups
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Design, or equivalent experience
Experience in UX/UI design
Experience with responsive design, accessibility best practices, and working within design systems
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of generative AI
Excellent organization skills, calm and productive under pressure
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to rapid changes
Highly motivated, able to analyze problems and come up with innovative solutions
Experience collaborating with software engineers or working in an engineering environment
Comfortable accepting feedback and addressing the needs of the team
Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including potential restricted stock unit awards and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
