Public Relations Professional Specialist
where you’ll provide public outreach services as part of our Supplemental Engineering and Staff Services contract with Orange County Sanitation District (OC SAN). Using your experience, your primary focus will be to provide community and stakeholder outreach support for projects during design and construction phases. Work may include the following activities: Responsibilities
Develop outreach plans, schedules, and budgets identifying project areas, community concerns, community events, demographics, and language needs. Identify stakeholders and communication strategies, including property owners, tenants, businesses, schools, and public officials. Plan, organize, and staff public meetings, including presentation development and meeting summaries. Conduct door-to-door or neighborhood outreach to impacted residents and businesses. Develop and design outreach materials such as fact sheets, notifications, press releases, website updates, and social media content consistent with OC SAN branding. Develop and implement crisis communication plans. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience in lieu of education. 15+ years of direct experience providing public outreach support of public works projects. Prior experience with communication with the OC SAN and public in Orange County, California. Benefits and additional details
