The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the Northeast Region will be responsible for growing Street Smart Rental's presence and revenue across the territory through the rental and sale of portable traffic safety equipment and technology solutions to Traffic Control Companies, General Contractors, and State DOTs. This role requires a hunter-minded, highly driven salesperson who thrives on building relationships face-to-face, uncovering new opportunities, and winning business through consultative and Challenger-style selling. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the road construction and traffic control industry and the ability to translate technology-driven safety solutions—like TESS-enabled signals, Smart Work Zone systems, and Vision software—into clear ROI for customers. This position is an exempt, full-time job with flexible hours, and reports to the Director of Sales. Two requirements of this role, in addition to those listed below, include: Experience selling in the traffic control and safety industry. This is a hybrid role, with 2+ days/week in our Hudson, MA office when not traveling. What You Will Do

Hunt and close new business in the Northeast, focusing on traffic control companies, general contractors, and state DOTs. Champion our signal technology, software and rental solutions that increase work zone safety and reduce labor costs. Develop strategic relationships with regional and national accounts. Lead territory planning, pipeline development, and forecasting with precision. Partner with internal teams to deliver flawless customer experiences and long-term value. Why This Role is Different

A true sales hunter with a proven track record of net new business wins — preferably in construction, traffic safety, rental or industrial solutions. A customer-focused sales leader who builds strong relationships, in the field, at job sites, or with decision-makers. A high comfort level in selling both hardware and software solutions (bonus if you have sold to Security Integrators or Guard companies). Confidence, self-motivation and accountability are essential for success. Overnight and out-of-state travel is required. Key Requirements Include

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Experience: A minimum of 3 years' B2B sales experience Valid driver's license and the ability to qualify for a DOT medical card to drive a ton pickup truck while towing a trailer (Commercial Motor Vehicle) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce products We go beyond Point A to Point B service and do the hard yards for our customers. Compensation for this role is a base salary of $70,000 - $80,000 along with a combined quarterly bonus/monthly commission target of 35% of base salary. The Regional Sales Manager works predominantly in an office but may be required to assist with the transportation, setup and deployment of equipment. The primary physical and mental demands include: Remains in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and office equipment. Communicates with others in their area of expertise, both internally and externally. Frequently moves equipment and supplies up to 30 pounds, sometimes up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, the individual will need to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and kneel. Specific vision abilities required: normal vision. Office environment with normal lighting and climate control; moderate noise. Travel conditions may involve being in an aircraft or automobile for extended periods. Work is performed mostly in a home office or on the road at a minimum of 40 hours a week.
