Job Description Veolia has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Account Manager to support the West Industrial and Environmental Territory, including microelectronics, chemical, petrochemical, municipal, and food & beverage markets. The person in this role will develop strong partnerships with customers to lead discovery, opportunity evaluation, and opportunity closure, expanding our install base and supporting end users. This position requires traveling to regional client sites in the Western Region. The West region includes California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, with the ideal candidate living in California, within 1 hour of the Los Angeles International Airport or the San Francisco International Airport. You will provide technical presentations of our industry-leading solutions, use commercial expertise to expand networks, hunt for new opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks; manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success

Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs

Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner

Report on the status of accounts and transactions

Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives; monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)

Attend company-sponsored trade shows within the territory and participate in local or regional conferences to create sales opportunities

Have a technical understanding of competitors’ products and sales distribution

Travel within territory to customer sites to develop and maintain business, perform equipment demos as needed, and assist in the sale of aftermarket products

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication and public speaking skills

Experience with analytical instruments, preferably within the Industrial and Environmental industries

Strong interpersonal and customer-focused skills

In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets

Excellent problem-solving skills

Self-motivated

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment

Education & Experience Required :

Associates Degree in a Technical Field and 5+ years of technical commercial experience in sales or application, or related customer-facing experience

Ability to travel 50% including some travel internationally

Ability to drive

Preferred :

Bachelors Degree in a Technical Field and 5+ years of technical commercial experience in sales, application, or related customer-facing experience

Thorough understanding of industrial wastewater treatment systems, industrial high-purity and wastewater treatment systems, municipal drinking water & wastewater systems

Compensation – The salary range is a guide based on market benchmarks and may vary by candidate knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Typical range: $97,000 - $120,000
