Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team of District Sales Managers (DSMs) and drive sales performance in the North Region. You will provide consultative expertise and partnership to MMNA's dealer partners to drive revenue growth and profitability in both retail and wholesale vehicle sales while ensuring a world-class customer experience. You will also serve as a brand ambassador, providing vision, direction, and coaching to contribute to Momentum 2030, Mitsubishi Motors’ long-term plan for modernized retail sales, network expansion, and industry leadership. Role Summary
If you are the successful candidate, your role will include (but is not limited to...) Region and Dealer Partnership: Engage with dealer principals and key personnel to drive engagement, performance, and loyalty; provide consultative advice on Mitsubishi Motors programs and best practices to drive profitability and customer satisfaction. Represent MMNA at regional dealer meetings, events, and industry forums; act as expert resource to ensure brand experience alignment within the Region. Analyze market trends, dealership performance, and sales data to identify growth opportunities; share information with colleagues and Sales Operations leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams to support dealer initiatives and resolve issues quickly. Oversee execution of retail and wholesale sales objectives to contribute to national goals. Lead a High Performance Team
Lead, mentor, and develop DSMs to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets; foster growth, teamwork, and accountability. Establish clear performance metrics, conduct regular coaching and reviews, and provide actionable feedback. Ensure DSMs leverage internal systems to monitor progress and coach dealer partners; ensure alignment with Mitsubishi initiatives and plans. Travel with DSMs regionally to observe, coach, and model best practices in dealer communications and partnership. Measuring Your Momentum
First 90 Days – Getting Up To Speed Gain familiarity with MMNA’s internal systems, reporting platforms, and processes. Establish a strong presence with Region dealer partners by visiting key dealerships and building relationships. Assess current team and dealer partner performance to identify quick wins and longer-term opportunities. Year 1 Victory Lap Demonstrated improvement in both DSM team performance and dealer partner results. Proven ability to coach and develop DSMs into stronger business partners and consultants. Consistently leverage initiatives, programs, reports, systems, and platforms to drive dealer performance. Establish reputation as a trusted, impactful leader within the Region. Location of Position and Travel
Live within the Region (preferably in a major market with close proximity to a metropolitan airport). Chicago and Detroit are examples; applicants from other markets in the Region will be considered. Leadership typically allows one day per week work from home, with 3–4 days per week traveling within the Region (including overnight travel). No international travel is expected. Region market area: Pittsburg, Central and Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Buffalo, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Ready to Join The Team? 7+ years in automotive sales, dealer network development, or regional field management; at least 3 years leading teams. Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving dealer performance. Strong leadership and people management skills; the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable. Deep understanding of automotive retail operations and wholesale distribution. Analytical thinker with strong business acumen; ability to translate data into actionable strategies. Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; ability to model MMC Way and MMNA values with the team. High initiative and proactivity; comfortable in a fast-growing, evolving environment. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned Region. BS/BA in Business/Marketing or equivalent education/experience. Valid, unconditional driver’s license and MMNA-approved driving record. Extra Horsepower (Profile Differentiators)
