Overview Vedder's Chicago office is seeking a Marketing Technology Coordinator. The Marketing Technology Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the firm’s marketing systems and digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on CRM data integrity and reporting. This role works closely with Marketing and Practice Development to ensure our marketing technology ecosystem is accurate, optimized, and effectively leveraged to support business development initiatives.

In addition to CRM-focused responsibilities, this position supports email marketing campaigns, website troubleshooting and analytics, and digital performance reporting. This position will be located in the Chicago Office and the shift hours for this role are from 9:00 am to 5 pm CST.

Responsibilities As a Marketing Technology Coordinator, your duties will include but not be limited to:

In this role, the Marketing Technology Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution and support of the firm’s marketing technology tools. The position focuses on hands-on CRM data work while also supporting email marketing execution, website functionality, and digital performance tracking. This role collaborates across teams to ensure marketing systems are functioning smoothly, data is reliable, and insights are readily available to support firm initiatives.

CRM & Data Management (Primary Focus)

Maintain and enhance CRM data quality, including contact, company, and relationship records

Support CRM reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc data requests

Assist with data imports, audits, and ongoing data hygiene initiatives

Partner with internal stakeholders to reinforce CRM best practices and adoption

Troubleshoot CRM-related issues and coordinate with IT or vendors as needed

Oversee subscription management and email delivery failure processes and complete or route contacts’ requests to update preferences and/or data

Create distribution lists for campaign marketing lists; perform advanced/complex searches to meet campaign-audience criteria and populate lists

Manage data cleanup tasks for mailing list contact records including monitoring the system for duplicate contacts, merging duplicate contacts, ensuring contacts are associated with companies, etc.

Maintain all master and legal marketing/law firm event mailing lists

Regularly audit law firm client lists against established “list hygiene” parameters and take action to resolve data quality issues

Ensuring that changes to contacts are verified

Email Marketing & Campaign Support

Draft, deploy, and manage email marketing campaigns

Support list building, segmentation, testing, and scheduling

Monitor campaign performance and assist with reporting and optimization

Website & Digital Analytics Support

Assist with website maintenance and troubleshooting in WordPress

Coordinate updates and identify opportunities to improve site performance with website vendor

Pull and analyze website data using Google Analytics

Support SEO monitoring and basic search performance reporting

Reporting & Marketing Technology Optimization

Prepare regular reports across CRM, email, and website platforms

Support enhancements, integrations, and ongoing optimization of marketing technology tools

Other

Serve as backup/support for email marketing activities to Marketing Technology Coordinator

Understand the importance of keeping all information seen while performing data conversion and cleanup duties confidential

Qualifications & Required Experience

1-2+ years of experience working with CRM platforms, email marketing software, SEO, and Google Analytics

Strong research, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think proactively and anticipate needs

Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend innovative, data-driven solutions

Knowledge of CRM and data quality management concepts

BA/BS in Marketing, MIS, or a related field preferred but not required

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Compensation Range Compensation Range:

$55,000/yr. to $70,000/yr
