Senior Communications Specialist Local candidates only to Richmond - Innsbrook Work schedule required to work: Flex 9 - Every other Friday off. 3-2 hybrid Job Summary
The safe and successful operation of a nuclear fleet depends upon the orchestrated efforts of hundreds of dedicated professionals. In turn, organizing a large, diverse team requires effective communications via multiple channels. To execute this important work, Energy’s Nuclear Fleet Communications team is actively seeking to add a Senior Communications Specialist (“Specialist”). The Specialist will focus on supporting the Projects organization across the Energy nuclear fleet. They will provide communications services including, but not limited to: Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
5+ years of experience directly related to corporate communications, marketing, stakeholder engagement, media, etc. In addition to the related years of work experience, candidates must also possess: Experience managing complex, communications projects, with budget and time deadlines Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, applications and theories in internal communications, external communications, marketing, public relations or media relations Strong interpersonal skills Initiative and self-direction Strong, verbal communication skills Superior writing and editing skills Ability to work well with others Ability to lead a team, or to work productively within a team Ability to process and respond to information quickly Ability to develop and manage network of contacts for information gathering and dissemination The highly preferred candidate will have prior corporate communications experience within the energy industry. Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Preferred Disciplines: Journalism, Mass Communications Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above Working Conditions
Office Work Environment 76 -100% Travel Up to 50% Soft Skill Requirements
