Department: External Affairs Reports to: Director, Strategic Advancement and Community Engagement Pay Grade: 12-NE Coordinator/Entry-Level Support Pay Range: $32,615 – $48,922/year Job Summary: To lead and oversee the volunteer engagement program for Thistle Farms with a positive, warm, and trauma-informed representation of the mission, history, and vision of Thistle Farms, with a primary focus on individual volunteer coordination and support. Job Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for individual volunteers Interview, vet, and place individual volunteers for the café, shop, andadditionaldepartments as needed Train, onboard, and orient individual volunteers Create and manage weekly schedules for individual volunteers Manage volunteer email communication including confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups Work with all Thistle Farmsdepartments to plan, schedule, and communicate volunteer needs Manage diverse volunteer personalities and ensure a safe, welcoming, and positive volunteer experience Ensure individual volunteers have completed required training, and sign waivers prior to each shift Greet all volunteers warmly and ensure they feel welcomed Introduce, expand, and deepen relationships within the Thistle Farms volunteer network Support volunteer group facilitation and special projects as needed RepresentThistle Farms publicly asneeded Speak on behalf of Thistle Farms as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and scheduling accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Proficiencyin Microsoft 365, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint Ability to schedule virtual and in-person meetings, training, and interviews with individual volunteers via Microsoft Teams and Outlook Ability and willingness to learn volunteer scheduling and database systems Physical Requirements: Must be able to be on your feet for a minimum of 3 hours and able to lift at least 20 lbs. Other Requirements: Must have reliableformof transportation in case offsitevolunteerand/or event support is needed. Additional Information
