Overview Established in 1998, Kim Seybert, Inc. is a global luxury designer, distributor, and retailer of tabletop, gifts, and home accessories. The brand’s foundation originates from Kim’s earlier career as a dress designer, and her exquisite products pioneered the idea of "fashion for the table." Artisan-crafted designs combine Old-World techniques with modern styles and are available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and other fine retailers, as well as on the company's e-commerce site.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development / Sales Manager to drive strategic growth while maintaining the integrity and elevated standards of our brand. This role is ideal for someone who understands luxury, thrives on relationship-building, and has a proven ability to grow accounts and open new channels within a premium market. The position is on-site at our NYC showroom and office, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute business development strategies to expand sales within luxury wholesale, trade, and/or hospitality markets

Cultivate and manage relationships with key National accounts, specialty stores and strategic partners

Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with brand positioning and revenue goals

Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to negotiation and closing

Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless client experience

Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings

Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to inform growth strategy

Set seasonal sales targets, account plans, and growth initiatives aligned with company goals

Evaluate account performance (sell-in vs. sell-out, inventory levels, replenishment cycles, door productivity) and take corrective actions to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the luxury home, furniture, décor, textiles, or related industries

Established network within the luxury home and design community preferred

Strong consultative selling skills with an emphasis on long-term relationships

Demonstrated success in prospecting, onboarding, and growing accounts

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities

Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven

Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in ERP systems, excel and sales reporting tools

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is approximately $100,000. Actual compensation is commensurate with experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for commission and other components of total compensation, such as 401(K) and paid time off.
