The
Housing Specialist
supports the daily housing operations of the
Pando Program , with a focus on
housing placement coordination, eligibility vetting, data management, and compliance . Working closely with the Housing Coordinator, Coordinated Entry System (CES), property management, and community partners, this role ensures participants experiencing homelessness are efficiently connected to housing while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with
HUD
and
Continuum of Care (CoC)
requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is
detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and passionate about housing stability . What Success Looks Like In This Role
Within your first 90 days, you will: Maintain accurate, up-to-date participant records in HMIS Process housing referrals and intakes efficiently and correctly Support timely housing placements and smooth move-in coordination Ensure documentation meets HUD and CoC compliance standards Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners Core Responsibilities
Housing Referrals & Intake Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact with the Coordinated Entry System (CES) Screen referrals and verify eligibility according to program requirements Support intake documentation and participant onboarding Housing Placement & Transitions Collaborate with property management on applications, inspections, lease signings, and move-ins Support participant transitions into housing and exits when applicable Assist with housing-related coordination to ensure successful placements Data Management & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely records in HMIS Manage HUD and CoC documentation using compliance checklists Ensure confidentiality, data integrity, and adherence to regulatory requirements Community & Internal Collaboration Participate in case conferencing, community meetings, and workgroups Communicate consistently with internal teams and external partners Support collaborative problem-solving to promote housing stability Program Support Assist with reporting, audits, and special projects as assigned Contribute to overall program operations and effectiveness Required Skills & Capabilities
Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Experience working with databases or data systems (HMIS preferred) Clear, professional communication with internal and external partners Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion Valid Indiana Driver’s License Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in housing programs, homelessness services, or case management Familiarity with HUD, CoC standards, or coordinated entry systems Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field Education & Requirements
Ability to pass background checks in accordance with LCFS policy Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as program needs require Why You’ll Love Working With Us
