Job Description The Account Manager plays a key role in managing and supporting Retailer and CPG funded Shopper Marketing initiatives leveraging Vestcom Media Solutions (VMS). The role involves territory assignment and scope based on account opportunities and candidate background. This position manages shelf edge campaign planning between the CPG and Retailer teams and drives internal campaign support across Vestcom departments. The Account Manager works with the primary sales team and collaborators to meet with clients, maintain knowledge of Vestcom Media Solutions products and services, and support Walgreens account campaigns. The role requires coordination of event execution and process improvement, and adoption of key Vestcom tools.
Responsibilities
Own and manage all assigned duties with support from Campaign Specialists and Delivery Coordinators; maintain primary relationships with necessary customer contacts.
Report to the Commercial Sales organization and contribute to the strategic account plan developed by Commercial Sales management; collaborate with Vestcom teams (Client Experience, IT, Creative, product delivery) and other Vestcom solutions teams.
Business Planning: partner with Sales Directors to plan key client deliverables for the quarter.
Support new business initiatives as requested and customize VMS sales presentation decks to support opportunities.
Generate leads on New Item support, digital overlays, and shopper theme campaigns as needed for assigned retailers.
Troubleshoot client questions/concerns by engaging internal teams and provide written follow-up, timelines, and next steps.
Build retailer and CPG relationships to cultivate sales opportunities and advise the Sales team of any relevant organizational changes or guidance.
Program Management: act as remote or on-site owner for internal contacts and campaign processes for VMS events and programs; maintain professional communication with clients and Vestcom stakeholders.
Maintain regular communication across the VMS assigned team and with Sales leadership for account-specific items, as well as with Delivery Leadership & peer Account Managers for process improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
At least 3+ years of related business experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience Preferred
Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills; able to present information to large and small groups, clients, employees, and management.
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and exhibit strong analytical skills.
Experience leading client calls and collaborating with internal teams; high service level orientation with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Well-organized and able to perform duties with minimal supervision (home-based office).
Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to embody Vestcom’s core values.
Additional Requirements
Travel may be required to support clients.
Compliance with Company policies concerning maintaining a drug-free workplace is required.
Compliance with all Company policies including safety policies and procedures.
Additional Information The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $100,000 per year. The hiring base salary range represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay as of the posting date. Actual salaries vary within the range based on factors including skills, experience, education, training, location, and travel requirements.
