We are currently looking for
Drill Operators
to join our Geotechnical Group in the Virginia. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and dependable. This individual must have the ability to communicate efficiently, work well with others and direct others assisting in the work. Experience in earth work and drilling is preferred. Extensive travel is a requirement of this position as work is performed in the Mid-Atlantic and South East regions. Per diem allowance is provided in addition to base pay/benefits when travel is required. The Geotechnical Construction Services group provides services for projects requiring foundations and earth retention systems. Work is performed outdoors year round. This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Job Duties And Responsibilities
Operate and assist in maintaining Drill Rigs, installing tie backs, micropiles, soil mats, etc. Experience preparing grout for tiebacks, micropiles, etc. is a plus Perform minor repairs and service to equipment Supervision of drill rig helpers to tool or mix grout Develop a full understanding of Wagman safety policies and procedures and promote a safe culture Qualifications
Education:
H.S. Diploma or GED preferred, with basic reading and writing skills Experience:
Experience operating a small diameter drill Special Skills:
Drill rig experience/knowledge, concrete knowledge/experience, supervisory experience Travel
Willing to travel. Travel is required; work is performed in the Mid-Atlantic and South East regions. Per diem allowance is provided in addition to base pay/benefits when travel is required. Compensation

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift. Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather. Position requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing Must be able to work at heights up to 150 feet Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands Must have the ability to reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height - and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces Possible Job Locations
