Overview The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Role summary A role in Construction means supporting the planning and execution of the new store, remodel, supply chain and innovation plans and projects. From large program rollouts to unique special projects, new small-format stores and large-format ground-up construction, supply chain, HQ, compliant maintenance of all Target properties. Your role will be in service to help support the management of scope, schedule, and budget for all Target construction projects, including adhering to the project timeline, coordinating, and overseeing the onsite construction process and turnover. You’ll keep all partners aligned with effective communication between vendors, general contractors, field leadership and project teams.

About the Building Regulatory Strategy Lead You will manage, develop, troubleshoot, and coordinate programs, processes and strategies for building regulations and code compliance throughout all Target Properties, including Target Stores, Supply Chain, HQ, and ongoing Guest initiatives. Ensures that there is a consistent application of code related requirements throughout design, construction, and operations of the Enterprise. Coordinates and drives training programs that maximize team, consultant, and contractor interpretation of applicable and governing construction code regulations. Identifies code compliance design interpretations that negatively impact Target and works with project teams and jurisdiction to resolve.

Uses ability to educate and influence design and merchant partners in Federal ADA and local accessibility requirements to provide guest solutions. Partners effectively with Target legal partners to study and research claims and inferences regarding ADA and reasonable accommodations. Build and develop your network in the building official industry by routine benchmarking by leveraging your network and challenging jurisdictions on code/design requirements. Staying abreast of code cycles, amendments and advise on risk related to regulatory measures. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you

Degree or technical training in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Code administration, Design

7-10 years of relevant experience in building, fire, and ADA codes; industry expert; leader amongst peers

Drives execution by operating effectively with ambiguity

Works with minimal supervision and acts as one team

Identify issues proactively and work diligently to resolve

Effectively makes connections across the company and industry

Provides clarity, escalates effectively, delivers with certainty

Ability to travel up to 25%

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet experience

Ability to acquire industry certifications as needed

Job Related Experience: CBO, CFM, Trade Certifications, ICC certified

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
